Kay. So I got a cold type thing on Wednesday, and went to the doctor yesterday only to find out that I don't have a cold. I have two ear infections and bronchial pneumonia that all developed over the course of two days. Joy. So now I have a bunch of pills to take (It's only three, but considering I don't take anything if I don't have to, it's a lot for me) and my brain feels as though it's not functioning properly. (not to mention the stuffy nose and inability to breathe) But whatever!
So I recently dug up my Gameboy Color, and started playing Pokemon Yellow again. I totally forgot how much harder and how much more addicting the old games are. It's awesome! I also have drawings finished that I need to post, but until my camera stops being a tard, I can't post anything.
Also, has anyone else noticed that, no matter where you go, Twilight shit is everywhere? I'm really fucking sick of it. Yesterday, not only were there Volvo commercials featuring Edward Cullen, but Stephanie Meyer was on Opra. And about a week ago, I was at Hastings and saw a copy of "Wuthering Heights", y'know. The classic that was printed in the 1800's? Yeah. It had this little label printed on the font that said "Bella and Edward's favorite book!" Honestly...WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?!?!?! Why is it that everything is all 'OH! Sparklie vampires!" or "Oh! Giant wolves!!" These people need to get over it! Yes I read the books, but only because I was uncharacteristically caught in the fad. I wanted to understand what these people at school were saying so I read them. If you pay close attention, the books have no plot, the characters are all Mary Sues/Gary Stus, and the fandom has gotten WAY out of hand! I'm absolutely SICK of hearing "Twilight this" or "Edward that". My MOM's books are all vampires, too. All I hear anymore is Vampires and Werewolves! I wouldn't doubt that in not too long, Mom'll have to deal with Anemic Sequins in her books. So If anyone has any good books that they would recommend that have nothing to do vampires or any type of romance, please leave me a message. I'd prefer if they weren't series either. Thank you.
